Boom Saloon #5 – Resolve

The fifth issue of Boom Saloon explores the theme of resolve through four chapters — the places, the people, the thoughts, and the tangents. This edition brings together a global network of voices to examine challenging and thought-provoking ideas with trademark depth and design precision.

Highlights include a collaboration between photographers and climate researchers Lena Dobrowolska and Teo Ormond-Skeaping on the future of humanity, Nonkululeko Sibande’s exploration of Black hair in culture, and an interview between Ryan Filchak and The Design Museum’s Priya Khanchandani questioning the ethics of cultural institutions. Closer to home, a conversation between chef Jessica Elliott Dennison and sculptor Phillippa Henley reimagines Scotland’s creative identity.

All profits from Boom Saloon #5 support Project 002.5, an initiative to rewrite the story of dementia in collaboration with Scottish dementia groups — proof that creativity can fuel real-world change.
